This session will allow audiologists to understand and appreciate how OTC’s are an opportunity and not a threat. We will discuss why and how Audiology Clinics should integrate OTC-type devices into the clinic operation using an unbundled approach. The talk will illustrate how to calculate cost/hour to create an unbundled approach and demonstrate the need to integrate remote care and remote fine-tuning to make the clinic more accessible and convenient for patients. Finally, the talk will share how one clinic integrated OTC-type devices and the outcomes of this integration after one year.
