Supporting our patient’s needs and concerns goes beyond out hearing evaluations and initial fittings. Often our patients have specific complaints and concerns and it is the audiologist job to address these through features selection. Still touching on verification and its clinical benefits, this lab will cover various patient scenarios. We will focus on discussing with patients there concerns and selecting the appropriate feature or acoustic aspect based on the concern. The majority of this advanced session will focus on the verification of these advanced features and how to troubleshoot it. This learning lab includes various patient scenarios and a hands-on component. The goal of this lab is to improve the ability to interpret the patient’s concerns and allow you to make clinical decisions using your knowledge on verification, acoustics, and experiences to best address the needs of the patient.
