Dr. Billingsly has a clinical focus on self-efficacy for people experiencing hearing and tinnitus-related challenges in adolescent to geriatric ages, with a particular interest in life transitions such as early adulthood. Her research lines of interest include use of instructional design theory and technologies in audiology clinical education, the role of reflection in audiology clinical work, neurodiversity bias in allied health professionals, and cultural humility in audiology. She has taught courses in amplification, auditory rehabilitation, tinnitus, and practice management for over 15 years. She is currently a clinical associate professor and clinical coordinator of audiology at Northern Illinois University.
