Aurianna Bonanno is a third-year audiology doctoral student at San Diego State University that is interested in cochlear implants, auditory processing, and tinnitus management. As a parent to a child born with bilateral profound hearing loss who was implanted at 12 months, she understands the significance of early intervention and aural (re)habilitation. Aurianna worked her way up from a stay-at-home mom of 3, and spouse to an active-duty service member, to a full-time honors (first generation) student. With this colorful real-world experience, Aurianna can quickly build rapport with patients of all ages and engages in empathetic collaboration to best support their needs.
When not working, Aurianna can be found roller skating down the boardwalk or hiking with her friends and family. In the off chance that there is a rainy day in sunny SoCal, you can catch her cuddled up with her dog Chewy while reading a good book.
