Lindee Alvarez, B.A., earned a bachelor degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Los Angeles. She is a current second-year audiology graduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is currently the UTD SAA chapter president and the SAA Texas state ambassador. Additionally Ms. Alvarez is working as a research assistant in the NIH funded Translational Auditory Perception Lab that focuses on creating better diagnostic tools using animal models. She is interested in pursing a PhD. Her research interest is optimizing hearing aids for non-English speakers using a public health approach. Ms. Alvarez aims to become a bilingual clinician-researcher and work as a professor in the future.
