Mrs. Millicent Garry earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders in 1986 and a Masters of Arts degree in Communication Disorders (Audiology) in 1988 at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed a clinical fellowship year in 1990 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Mrs. Garry worked for 8 years in New Orleans as a clinical audiologist, seeing patients of all ages for diagnostic testing (hearing, balance, ABR), hearing aids and cochlear implants. The cochlear implant team worked in conjunction with the LSU School of Medicine under the directions of Dr. Linda J. Hood and Dr. Charles Berlin. Mrs. Garry has been a clinical audiologist at Mayo Clinic Florida since 1998 to present. Her interests are in diagnostic testing and and cochlear implants. She presents annually at the Mayo Clinic cochlear implant teleconference.
