Simone Mariotti Roggia, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Audiology in the Department of Audiology and Speech Therapy at Federal University of Santa Catarina – Brazil. She is a graduate of Federal University of Santa Maria – Brazil, and completed her PhD at University of São Paulo – Brazil, and her postdoctoral studies at University of Cincinnati and at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) – USA. Dr. Roggia has 27 years of clinical, research and teaching experience focusing on hearing evaluation. Her current areas of research are mainly focused in the early detection of noise and chemical effects on the Auditory System, and in Auditory Evoked Potentials.
