Dr. Sandy Magallan is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). She is also an Audiologist at UT Health RGV with the UTRGV School of Medicine.
Dr. Magallan received her Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) from the Texas Tech University School of Health Professions in 2018. She affiliates with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to bring comprehensive healthcare to all patients in South Texas. She diagnoses and provides audiology services and treatments for patients with hearing difficulties throughout the lifespan with specialty training in cochlear implants. Her research interests include cochlear implants, pediatric hearing loss, bilingual service delivery and work in underserved areas.
