Brent Frederick (he/him) is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Musical Theater and the Music Director for the BFA musical theater program at Ohio University. He holds a co-appointment in the Schools of Theater and Music. Prior to his appointment at Ohio, Brent worked as a Broadway and touring pianist and conductor. He maintains a robust outside professional career in music and musical theater. At Ohio, Mr. Frederick teaches musical theater workshop classes, ear training for actors, audition techniques, and music directs curricular musicals. He holds a BM in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory and will complete his Masters of Music Education at Ohio University in the summer of 2023.
