Ms. Winter has been a clinical audiologist and teacher for more than 40 years. She has worked in such well known settings as the Otosurgical Group, the House Ear Institute Children's Center, and USC’s Caruso Family Center for Childhood Communication. For 10 years she also taught courses in audiology for the John Tracy Center’s master’s degree program in Deaf Education. She has been a frequent presenter on hearing aids and cochlear implants at seminars across the country. She has also published and presented extensively on infant hearing assessment, hearing aid fitting, and auditory neuropathy. She was a member of the LA Pediatric ABI research team with colleagues from USC, CHLA, and Huntington Research Institutes, conducting FDA clinical trials studying the ABI in young children. She is now Clinic Director at California State University Los Angeles where she supervises clinical education and teaches coursework in the Doctor of Audiology program.
