Dr. Jennifer Gans is a San Francisco-based clinical psychologist and researcher specializing in the psychological impact of deafness, tinnitus, and hearing on well-being. She is the Founder of MindfulTinnitusRelief.com, the first-ever self-administered 8-week online skill-building course of its kind for learning how to live comfortably with tinnitus & hyperacusis. She was the Lead Clinical Psychologist at the UCSF Cochlear Implant Center and the UCSF Cochlear Implant Interconnect and Children’s Communication Center (2008-2016). She holds a Masters in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University and received a doctorate in psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She is fluent in American Sign Language. Dr. Gans presents globally to audiologists on how to integrate and give support to both device fitting and tinnitus patient counseling; both critical pieces of the tinnitus-hyperacusis management puzzle.
