Lynn Pierce joined CNA in 2010. Her primary responsibilities include risk management resource development, customer support and continuing education for nurses, nurse practitioners, counselors, physical therapist and varies other professional liability programs. Lynn collaborates with internal and external business partners to provide professional insight and strategies to manage and minimize loss exposures and promote patient safety.
Prior to joining CNA, she worked in such clinical settings as emergency, surgical and cardiac critical care, and cardiac and orthopedic rehabilitation services. She has served as a director of risk management in acute care hospitals and integrated health care systems and has held leadership positions in risk management, quality, HIPAA privacy, environmental and patient safety, case management, corporate compliance, Workers’ Compensation and infection control.
Lynn achieved the LEAN Green Belt Certification and completed the TeamSTEPPS® Master Trainer Course. She has authored many articles on risk management and has presented nationally on healthcare risk and quality management topics. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Dalton College, a BSN from the University of West Georgia and a MSN with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Spring Arbor University. Lynn is a certified and licensed FNP by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and practices at rural health clinic in northwest Georgia.
