Lisa J Burton-Harris, Doctoral Candidate in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Population Health, at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Throughout a multi-disciplinary career in finance, education, sports and learning science, I have consistently asked the question: how might we maximise our cognitive productivity? Whether our constraint derives from time, stress, aging, or a known or unknown pathology, maximising the cognitive power we have available to us at that moment has always been my passion. Tinnitus and cognition interact within a complex system where emergent properties drive heterogeneous patients needing individualised treatments. Exploring tools that enable this is my current focus.
