Dr. Christopher Spankovich is a tenured Professor and Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Director of the Translational Auditory Physiology (TAP) Lab at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Audiology from Rush University, Doctor of Philosophy from Vanderbilt University, and Master of Public Health from Emory University. As a clinician-scientist, he maintains a translational program that spans basic science, clinical, and epidemiological investigations all with a focus on early identification and prevention of acquired forms of auditory-vestibular pathology. His research has been funded by industry, federal, and professional organizations. He has published over 80 articles and book chapters and given over 60 national and international presentations. Dr. Spankovich is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Audiology and serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Audiology.
