Dr. McIlwain was awarded her Doctor of Audiology Degree at the University of Washington, and completed her residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. She completed her undergraduate degree at Texas State University in Communication Disorders. Her experience involves working with pediatric and adult patients in a private practice. Dr. McIlwain is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds the Certificate in Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. McIlwain is originally from Colombia, and is fluent in English and Spanish. She is passionate about improving the quality of life of patients with hearing and balance dysfunction. In the last 4 years, Dr. McIlwain has served the interior Alaska population working for the only civilian ear nose and throat clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska.
