Daniel Drexler graduated as a Medical Doctor (1997) and as a Magister in Medical Sciences (2004) at UdelaR (Uruguay). He has 27 years of experience in clinical work and research in fields related to the auditory system, focusing on tinnitus, acoustic trauma and hearing loss. He co-founded the company Otoharmonics, acting as a Director of Clinical Research, and designed the Levo Tinnitus Therapy System, in addition to publishing several articles in peer reviewed scientific journals.
For the last eight years, he has been working as Director of the Centro Tinnitus Montevideo, where he leads a multidisciplinary team that developed a comprehensive platform for treatment of tinnitus patients with sound stimulation during sleep. Currently, he supervises MSc students in Translational Neuroscience at Queen Mary University London and continues his scientific research activity in the field of audition and translational medicine. He currently provides consulting services for Levomedical.
