Kathy Pichora-Fuller, PhD is a Full Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto. She is also an Adjunct Scientist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and at the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest in Toronto. She completed a M.Sc. in Audiology and Speech Sciences at the University of British Columbia (1980) and worked as an audiologist and the Supervisor of Audiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto before returning to complete a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Toronto (1991). Until 2002, she was a faculty member in the Faculty of Medicine and Director of the Institute for Hearing Accessibility Research at UBC. She translates her lab-based research on auditory and cognitive aging to address the rehabilitation needs of older adults who suffer from both hearing and cognitive impairments. She won the AAA International Award in 2014 and Co-chaired the 2016 World Congress of Audiology in Vancouver.
