Liz Urban earned her Bachelor's of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences and a minor in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati in April 2021. She continued her education at the University of Cincinnati, where she anticipates to graduate with her Doctorate of Audiology and Animal Audiology Certificate in Spring 2024. Her interests include pediatrics, humanitarianism, and electrophysiology. She previously conducted research on topics ranging from canine hearing with Dr. Peter Scheifele and hearing loss in musicians with Dr. Fawen Zhang. She is a dedicated Member Relations Committee volunteer with the National Student Academy of Audiology. She serves on the Ohio Speech and Hearing Association's Public Relations Committee. Liz was awarded the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association's Rising Leader in Audiology Award in 2021. Her research on African Elephant low-frequency hearing was awarded as the First Place poster at the Ohio Academy of Audiology Conference in 2023.
