Eric Rodriguez is a third-year AuD/PhD student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. His clinical interests include diagnostics, hearing aids, and cochlear implants. His research interests include audiological speech testing for culturally and linguistically diverse individuals, cognitive auditory neuroscience, and using functional near-infrared spectroscopy to explore individual differences in cochlear implant users.
He earned a bachelor's degree in communication disorders with a minor in psychology at Texas State University in 2020. Since undergrad, Eric has expressed an interest in providing equitable services to Spanish-speaking patients and continually advocates to bridge gaps in healthcare caused by linguistic barriers.
He will complete his fourth-year externship at Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
